Island Health has an opportunity for a locum Anesthesiologist to join their team at the Comox Valley Hospital.

Comox Valley Hospital is a new 146 bed community hospital with state of the art facilities. There are 6 OR’s, five of which will be operationalized by September 2020. Anesthesiologists In Comox provide services for Obstetrics and Gynecology, Urology, General Surgery, ENT, Dentistry, Ophthalmology, and Orthopedics. They also provide anesthesia for ECT and Cardioversions. Additionally, they are the designated intubation team for Covid suspect or Covid positive patients in the hospital and are occasionally asked to assist with difficult airways in the ER and ICU as well.

Recent Pediatrics (at minimum two years and older) and obstetrics experience required, or willing to update these skills. Demonstrated interest in leadership, professional development, quality assurance, and or teaching would be an asset.
