Maianna comes to the Project Lead for Medical Staff Onboarding position with a wealth of knowledge of both Island Health and Medical Affairs governance and has a deep understanding of medical staff culture and experiences from her previous roles on the Medical Staff Governance and Medical Staff Credentialing and Privileging teams.
Maianna’ s compassionate leadership style and engagement approaches has helped her excel in her work and relationships with medical leaders, medical staff and colleagues alike. She sees challenges from a systems perspective and makes key connections across teams, the portfolio and across the organization. She believes in collaborative, values-based decisionmaking and strives to provide kind and conscientious mentorship.
Maianna is currently leading the medical staff onboarding project, developing key foundational resources and processes to improve the overall experience of medical staff at Island Health. When not working, Maianna can be found hiking and running Vancouver Island’s many trails and advancing her studies in the Master of Arts Leadership program at Royal Roads University.
